First you’ll notice with the FOP Pomade the large 7 fl. oz. (200 ml) plastic jar and the nice 1930s label in blue, beige and red-brown. Once you open the white, ribbed plastic lid you can look on a cola-colored, almost clear gel pomade, which is reminiscent of a tea or even cola. The strong scent is fruity mild with a citrusy freshness and feels like cutting a grapefruit.
The consistency of the FOP pomade is jelly like soft and tender, even a bit sticky as honey, though it is very easy to wash off of your fingers at any time with water. FOP is very pleasant to use and reminds of medium-weight pomades of the 1930s and 1950s - nothing sticks or hardens, the hair can be recombed at any time. Accordingly, light is then also the styling of slick backs and typical hairstyles of 1930-50s. Though FOP does not contain petrolatum, with FOP one’s hair feels amazingly easy, soft and healthy.
The gloss of the FOP pomade is initially strong, but gets soon discreet and can be enhanced when used in damp hair. Although FOP Pomade is consists as a modern, water-based pomade almost entirely of synthetic ingredients, it offers a pleasant neat, casual look. This is probably because of the contained vegetable ingredients, such as coconut oil. With FOP the hair also does not feel glued or oily shiny, but rather like freshly showered. Through frequent combing the hair gets more relaxed.
Washing of the FOP pomade is as you would expect from a modern, water-based pomade pleasing simple: It is sufficient merely to get it out of the hair with water.
Directions:
Rub the FOP pomade between your hands and apply into slightly damp hair. Then comb the hair into shape and brush with a hair brush. FOP pomade can also be applied into dry hair.
The FOP pomade is packaged in a white plastic jar with nice 1930s label.
