Brillantina Linetti has been manufactured since 1946 in Italy. Used by men and women it became a symbol for well groomed, healthy and glossy hair after WW2. In the 1960s it got extremely popular by a tv-crime-series called Carosello. It is mildly fragranced with lavender and reminds of Yardley English Lavender Brillantine, but turns into a more warm, flowery scent with hints of vanilla, clove and of course lavender. Besides some artificial flavoring there are no chemicals or alcohol. This hair oil makes the hair smooth and gives a soft hold and silky shine. The fragrance is an absolute classic in Italy.
